My name is Chris Melbye and I have been a member of the Thief River Falls School Board since 2012.

I am actively involved on the Finance Board Committee, Negotiations Board Committee, Strategic Planning Board Committee, Activities & Athletics Committee, CTE Advisory Committee, Continuing Education Advisory Committee, Curriculum Advisory Committee - Alt, Staff Development Advisory Committee - Alt, NWSC Outreach and Meet & Confer Outreach.

I am a Senior Learning and Development Specialist, working with the Learning and Development and Talent Acquisitions Departments at Digi-Key Electronics. My wife, Angie also works at Digi-Key as an Applications Engineering Technician. Together we have 3 children, Ben, Blake and Geneva. Serving on the school board has been a rewarding experience. Working with the district and community to work on what is best for the students and staff while being fiscally responsible.
