Superintendent
Welcome Message from Dr. Mills:
“Plan for Our Prowlers”
Hello Prowler Nation!! My name is Dr. Christopher E. Mills and I am the Superintendent of Schools for Thief River Falls Public Schools. I am completing my 30th year in public education in 2023. I have earned degrees from Northland Community and Technical College, Bemidji State University, St. Cloud State University, and the University of North Dakota.
My career in public education began by student teaching in Thief River Falls in elementary education and middle school in 1993, I then moved to Benson, MN to teach fifth grade for four years. I transitioned from the classroom to a building leadership role in 1997 at Franklin Middle School. This was a terrific opportunity and prepared me to move into the Superintendent of Schools position at Stephen-Argyle Central starting in 2000. During my twenty-three-year career at Stephen-Argyle Central, I have also served as elementary principal and have been part of three successful operating referendums and three major building projects.
I have been married to Angie for 31 years and we have three adult sons: Davis, Peyton, and Isaac. I have had tremendous opportunities to work with wonderful educators and community stakeholders throughout my career. I believe that each day we have the opportunity to “Make a Difference and Make an Impact” on students and our community. I am looking forward to this opportunity in Thief River Falls.
